Every summer the local conversation treats the Fourth of July as the ceiling. Fireworks over the Square, the water slide obstacle course, the wristbands, then a slow drift toward fall. That framing misses what the back half of the year actually looks like around here. The stretch from late August into November is denser than July, more locally programmed, and increasingly the window where Copperopolis feels most like a real town rather than a lake destination.
The Ten Days That Outpace The Fourth
Between August 21 and August 29, three events sit on top of each other in a way the summer calendar rarely stacks. If you keep a paper calendar on the fridge, this is the block worth writing in first.
- August 21–23, Copper Valley Music Festival.
